Sauerkraut with cranberries and carrots for winter

The most delicious sauerkraut is obtained with cranberries, which gives it a pleasant aftertaste and aroma. At the same time, I suggest adding a little carrot to diversify the preparation even more. My whole family cooks according to this recipe!
Ingredients
- Cabbage - 2.2 kg
- Carrots - 2 pieces
- Cranberries - 1-2 handfuls
- Water - 1 l
- Sugar - 1 art.l.
- Salt - 2 tbsp.l.
- Black Pepper - 10 pieces
- Allspice - 6 pieces
- Bay leaf - 3 pieces
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop cabbage, grate carrots and mix vegetables with cranberries and all spices.
Put the cabbage in a large jar.
Mix cold water, salt and sugar. Pour the brine over the cabbage.
Make several punctures to the bottom with a wooden skewer.
Leave the jar for 3 days at room temperature. Pierce the cabbage with a skewer several times a day.
When the cabbage is fermented, cover it with a lid and put it in a cold place for storage.
