Of all the dozens of recipes for canned crispy gherkins, this one has become my favorite. Tomato filling gives them a completely different taste. In addition, it is difficult to find such a blank in stores, which means that you can surprise your family and loved ones at the table. Perfect option!
Ingredients
- Gherkins - 1.2 kg
- Water - 1 l
- Citric acid - 0.5 tsp.
- Tomato paste - 100 g
- Garlic - 6 teeth
- Sugar - 60 g
- Carnation - 3 bud
- Mustard Seeds - 1 tbsp.l.
- Salt - 50 g
- A mixture of peppers with peas - 1 tbsp.l.
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Soak the gherkins in cold water for a couple of hours in advance.
Mix tomato paste, water and all spices. Boil the filling and add citric acid.
Arrange cucumbers in sterilized jars with additives to taste.
Pour the tomato filling and sterilize the jars for another 15 minutes.
Roll them up for the winter.
