Experienced housewives often buy daikon. You can cook a lot of interesting dishes from it. Pickled radish is among the most popular. It is prepared simply and quickly. It can be stored until winter or eaten after a few days.
Ingredients
- Daikon - 1 kg
- Onion - 200 g
- Chili pepper (small) – 3 pod
- Wild cherry - 50 g
- Garlic - 50 g
- Vinegar - 150 ml
- Sugar - 80 g
- Salt - 1,5 art.l.
- Water - 1 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the daikon and cut it into small pieces.
Chop the wild cherry, peeled garlic and onion.
In a bowl, mix daikon, wild cherry, garlic, onion and whole pepper pods. Cover with a lid and leave for 30 minutes.
Drain the resulting liquid.
Arrange the vegetables in the prepared jars.
Boil water with sugar and salt, boil for 2 minutes.
Pour vinegar and hot marinade into the jars, close the lids tightly. After cooling, transfer to a dark, cool place for storage.
