A friend once shared this recipe with me. Jam from gooseberries and cherries really liked my taste. In addition, the moderately thick consistency allows you to use it as a filling for baking. Prepare it, you will definitely like it!
Ingredients
- Gooseberry - 2 kg
- Cherry - 1 kg
- Sugar - 1,5 kg
- Citric acid - at the tip of the knife
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Clean the gooseberries from dry tails and rinse under running water.
Fill the cherry with salted water for 15 minutes, rinse and peel the seeds.
Put the gooseberries and cherries in a large saucepan. Cover with sugar and leave for 1.5-2 hours.
Put the pan on low heat and boil for 5-7 minutes. Remove from the stove and set aside to cool.
Bring the mass to a boil again, add citric acid and boil for 5 minutes.
Put the hot jam in the prepared container, roll it up and turn it upside down. If possible, wrap the jars with a warm blanket.
