There are a lot of recipes for solyanka, it is prepared from different meats, on water or broth, with cucumbers and without. But most of all I like homemade hodgepodge – I cook it with chicken and sausages, and at the end I add a little garlic. It turns out satisfying, simple and flavorful!
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 300 g
- Sausages - 200 g
- Potatoes - 300 g
- Cucumbers (salty) – 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 teeth
- Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.l.
- Tomato sauce - 100 ml
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Cilantro (for submission) – 3 twigs
- Lemon (for submission) – half
- Water (filtered) – 2 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Rinse the chicken, pour cold water and boil for 20 minutes.
Remove the meat from the pan, cut into small pieces and throw it back into the broth.
Cut the pickled cucumbers, peeled onions and potatoes into small cubes.
Fry the onion until golden brown in a well-heated frying pan with oil.
Add the sausages and continue cooking for another 7 minutes.
Add tomato sauce, 1 cup of broth, bay leaf and simmer for 5 minutes.
Pour potatoes, cucumbers and roast into a saucepan with meat. Boil for 10 minutes over low heat.
Add salt, ground black pepper, squeeze garlic through a press and turn off.
Insist the finished hodgepodge under the lid for 15 minutes. Serve with a slice of lemon and coriander.
