If you also like a variety of pickles, there is great news! You can once prepare a large stock for the future and roll it into jars for the winter. This time I offer a recipe with pearl barley! The hodgepodge can be served separately or used as a base for other dishes. Everything remains to your imagination!

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Boil the mushrooms for 10 minutes in boiling water.

Pre-rinse, soak and boil the pearl barley until ready.

Cut the rest of the vegetables arbitrarily.

Fry onions and carrots in oil until soft. Add the cabbage and simmer for 20 minutes.

Add tomato, salt, sugar and pepper, and simmer for another 6 minutes.

Add the pearl barley, mushrooms and cucumbers, and simmer for another 15 minutes.

A couple of minutes before the end, pour in the vinegar.

Roll the hodgepodge into sterilized jars.
