Try to preserve pickle for the winter to enjoy this traditional dish at any time of the year. I use pearl barley, fresh cucumbers and other vegetables to get a rich and bright taste that can be stored in jars.
Ingredients
- Cucumbers - 1 kg
- Tomatoes - 750 g
- Carrots - 450 g
- Onion - 450 g
- Pearl barley - 250 g
- Water - 250 ml
- Vegetable oil - 60 ml
- Vinegar - 60 ml
- Sugar - 2 art.l.
- Salt - 1 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Rinse the pearl barley, fill it with water and leave it for a couple of hours.
Randomly chop all the vegetables, add pearl barley, sugar, salt and 250 ml of water.
Bring the billet to a boil, add oil and boil for 30-40 minutes.
Pour in the vinegar and roll up the pickle in sterile jars.
