Finnish housewives have always been resourceful. For this reason, many of their recipes are very simple. I want to tell you one of them today. We will talk about crispy cucumbers in Finnish for the winter. I cook them with the addition of carrots, pepper and herbs.
Ingredients
- Cucumbers - 2 kg
- Bell pepper - 300 g
- Carrots - 300 g
- Greenery - 20 g
- Vinegar - 120 ml
- Black Pepper - 6 peas
- Allspice - 2 peas
- Sugar - 120 g
- Salt - 50 g
- Water - 3 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop cucumbers, herbs, carrots and peeled bell pepper.
Boil water, add spices, sugar, salt and vinegar.
Add chopped vegetables and herbs, boil for 5-7 minutes.
Fish out the vegetables with a slotted spoon and put them in prepared jars.
Pour boiling marinade, roll up and wrap with a thick towel.
