Be sure to try this recipe. Whole apple compote for winter is two in one: a healthy drink and delicious fruit for dessert. I recommend cooking from the following varieties: Golden Chinese, Lanterns or Rosette.

Ingredients

  • Apples (small) – 2 kg
  • Sugar - 400 g
  • Citric acid - 2 g
  • Water (filtered) – 5 l

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Rinse the apples thoroughly under running water.

Place in sterilized jars and pour boiling water to the top. Cover with lids and leave for 4-5 hours.

Drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar, citric acid and boil for 2 minutes.

Pour boiling syrup into jars with apples and roll up.
