Our culinary traditions are impressive, including a variety of various preparations. At one time, even with a minimum of products, our grandmothers tried to surprise their loved ones. A vivid example of a creative approach is caviar from cucumbers.
Ingredients
- Cucumbers - 1 kg
- Tomatoes - 500 g
- Bell pepper - 300 g
- Carrots - 300 g
- Onion - 300 g
- Vegetable oil - 4 tbsp.l.
- Vinegar - 50 ml
- Salt - 1.5 tbsp.l.
- Garlic - 2 teeth
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Ground black pepper - 0.5 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Grate the carrots and chop all the other vegetables very finely. You can partially pass them through a meat grinder.
Add oil and simmer all together for about 40 minutes on low heat.
Add bay leaf, salt, pepper and garlic. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
Pour in the vinegar, simmer for another 10 minutes and roll the caviar from cucumbers into sterile jars.
