A couple of years ago I tried to cook caviar from pickles for the first time. And since then, this is the best and always a win-win way to surprise guests and loved ones. If you have never made such an outlandish snack, I recommend preparing a couple of small jars.
Ingredients
- Pickled cucumbers - 1 kg
- Tomato paste - 50 g
- Onion - 3 pieces
- Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.l .
- Vinegar - 2 art.l.
- Dill - 0.5 beam
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop cucumbers and onions very finely.
Fry the onion in oil until soft.
Add cucumbers and simmer for half an hour on low heat.
Add the tomato and spices, and simmer for another 20 minutes.
Add vinegar and chopped dill, simmer the caviar for another 5 minutes and roll it into sterile jars.
