You can cook black currants for the winter in different ways. Today I will tell you the recipe for a thick jam-five minutes. The berries are rubbed through a sieve, so a fragrant delicacy is obtained without seeds. Such a blank is convenient to use in desserts.
Ingredients
- Black Currant - 2 kg
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Lemon juice - 2 tbsp.l .
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Sort the currants, clean them from dry tails and rinse thoroughly.
Pass the berries through a meat grinder and rub through a sieve.
Pour the sugar into the berry puree, mix and leave for 1 hour.
Boil the jam three times for 5 minutes, taking breaks for 2-3 hours.
During the last cooking, add lemon juice.
Arrange the hot jam in jars, roll it up, turn it upside down and wrap it with a thick blanket.
