Beautifully decorated dishes are always a great success on the table. I share a recipe for herring under a "Ladybug" fur coat - this cheerful salad is eaten with pleasure by adults and children. With it, even an ordinary dinner turns into a holiday!
Ingredients
- Herring (low salt) – 1 piece
- Beetroot (boiled) – 250 g
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Carrots (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Olives - handful
- Dill (for decoration) – halfpuchka
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the herring, gut it, remove the bones and finely chop it.
Grate the vegetables and eggs, chop the onion with a knife.
Put layers of herring, onion and potatoes on the bottom of the prepared plate. Season with salt, pepper and mayonnaise.
Add carrots, eggs and beets mixed with mayonnaise on top.
Flatten the salad with a fork, giving it the shape of a ladybug. Lay out the black dots and the head of the olives. Draw eyes with mayonnaise and decorate everything with greenery. Put the salad in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
