In Georgia, nuts are added to various dishes. It is enough to recall kharcho, satsivi, lobio and churchkhela. And today I want to talk about another very popular dish — Georgian nut salad sauce. It is prepared with hot pepper and garlic, so it turns out quite spicy.
Ingredients
- Walnuts - 200 g
- Hot red pepper - half-string
- Garlic - 3 clove
- Lemon juice - 50 ml
- Vegetable oil - 2 art.l.
- Paprika - 0,5 tsp.
- Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
- Hops-suneli - 0,5 tsp.
- Salt - 0,3 tsp.
- Water (boiled) – 120 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Dry the walnuts in a frying pan.
Transfer to the bowl of a blender, add the peeled garlic, hot pepper and grind until smooth.
Add lemon juice, oil, spices, salt, water and turn on the blender for another 1 minute.
