Ingredients
- Milk - 1 l
- Vanilla pod - 1 piece
- Egg yolks - 7 pieces
- Sugar - 100 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pour the milk into a small saucepan with a thick bottom.
Cut the vanilla pod lengthwise and add it to the saucepan with milk.
Bring the milk to a boil over low heat, remove from the stove and cool slightly.
Strain the liquid through a strainer or a double layer of gauze.
In a separate container, whisk the yolks with sugar.
Mix the milk billet and the beaten yolks.
Heat over low heat until thickened, but do not bring to a boil. When cooled, the sauce will thicken.
