Traditionally, herring under a fur coat is served in every house on New Year's holidays. If you want to change the usual recipe a little, you can make a salad with fried mushrooms. With such an addition, the dish becomes even more satisfying and tastier!
Ingredients
- Herring (finished fillet) – 300 g
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Carrots (boiled) – 150 g
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 1 piece
- Porcini mushrooms - 250 g
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Vegetable oil (for frying) – 2 art.l.
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Salt - to taste
- Ground black pepper - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop onion, mushrooms and herring. Grate boiled vegetables and egg on a coarse grater.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add half the onion and cook until golden brown. Add the mushrooms and continue to fry them for another 15 minutes.
Assemble the salad using the cooking ring. Put the potatoes first, season with salt, pepper and smear with mayonnaise.
Then add layers of carrots, onions, herring and fried mushrooms. Add salt, pepper and mayonnaise again.
Put the beetroot on top, pepper, salt and smear with mayonnaise.
Decorate the salad with an egg and put it in the refrigerator for 1.5 hours so that the ingredients are soaked.
