The set of spices you use can transform any recipe. I suggest trying not the most obvious, but very tasty and bright solution – borscht with hops-suneli. Georgian spice is especially relevant for such a dish!
Ingredients
- Meat broth - 1.5 l
- Potatoes - 4 pieces
- Carrots - 2 pieces
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Cabbage - 250 g
- Beetroot - 2 pieces
- Bell pepper - 2 pieces
- Tomato paste - 1 art.l.
- Hop-suneli - 1 tbsp.l.
- Spices and seasonings - 1 art.l.
- Garlic - 3 cloves
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Grate the beets and carrots, chop the onion and pepper, chop the potatoes and chop the cabbage.
Fry the onion for 2-3 minutes. Add carrots, beets and pepper, and fry for another 10 minutes.
Add the tomato, stir, pour in a little broth and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Bring the broth to a boil, add potatoes and cabbage and cook until tender.
Add the remaining vegetables and suneli hops, stir and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
Add other spices and garlic, mix again and remove the borscht from the heat.
