We are used to meatballs being meat balls, but this is far from the only option. According to the same principle, you can cook them from any legumes. And thanks to the thick curry sauce, the dish acquires distinct Indian notes.

Step-by-step cooking recipe
It is better to boil rice and lentils in advance, because it is long. Grind them in a blender until smooth.
Add chopped herbs and spices to the mass, mix and form small balls with your hands greased with olive oil.
Put the meatballs on parchment and bake for 20-25 minutes at 200 degrees.
Chop and fry garlic with ginger in oil. Add curry with turmeric and fry for another minute.
Add the chopped peeled tomatoes and simmer for another 5-6 minutes.
Add cream, sugar, spices and lime juice, simmer for another 5 minutes and put the meatballs in the sauce.
Mix everything well, press a little under the lid and remove from the heat. Garnish with coriander if desired.
