Planning a light lunch or dinner? Vegetarian pilaf is good for this. The dish is prepared with steamed rice and a lot of different vegetables. And if you don't like the flavor of celery or garlic, just exclude them from the recipe!
Ingredients
- Steamed rice - 2 glasses
- Bell pepper - 1 piece
- Green peas - 1 glass
- Celery (stems) – 150 g
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Vegetable oil - 100 ml
- Hop-suneli - 0,5 tsp.
- Zira - 0,5 tsp.
- Salt - to taste
- Parsley - 3 twigs
- Water (cleaned) – 1 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the onion and garlic. Cut the bell pepper in half, remove the seeds.
Chop onion, carrot, bell pepper, celery and parsley.
In a deep cauldron, fry the onion in oil until golden brown.
Add celery, carrots and bell pepper. Cook for 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add suneli hops, cumin, salt, washed rice and crushed garlic cloves with a knife handle.
Pour boiling water and simmer for 25 minutes on low heat.
Add green peas, chopped parsley and turn off after 4 minutes.
Wrap the finished pilaf with a warm towel and leave for 20 minutes.
