If you don't like or don't eat pork, catch a great recipe for beef meatballs. I advise you to choose a not quite lean piece of meat so that the minced meat is not dry. And then spicy tomato sauce and fragrant herbs will do everything for you.
Ingredients
- Ground beef - 400 g
- Onion - 1 piece
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Chicken eggs - 1 piece
- Bulgur - 80 g
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- Tomato paste - 2 art.l.
- Hop-suneli - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
- Greenery - 4 twigs
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Fill the small bulgur with hot water and leave it under the lid for half an hour so that it swells. You can boil it until half cooked.
Add the egg, half of the chopped onion, garlic, spices and bulgur to the minced meat, and mix. Leave it on for 15 minutes.
Fry the remaining onion with grated carrots, add tomato paste and a little water for consistency. Add the lavrushka, spices to taste and bring to a boil.
Form small meatballs and put them right into the tomato sauce. It should completely cover them, so add water or broth as needed.
Bring to a boil again and simmer the meatballs on low heat under a lid for 30-40 minutes.
Decorate the dish with chopped herbs when serving.
