Pork ribs with stewed cabbage are a classic combination for Hungarian and Czech cuisines. Similar recipes are often found in Germany, and in other countries. How else if it's so simple and delicious at the same time?

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Cut the ribs into pieces and fry for 15-20 minutes until browned on all sides. Set aside.

Fry finely chopped onion and grated carrot in the same pan for 7 minutes.

Gradually add the cabbage and pour in a glass of water. Simmer everything under the lid on low heat until the cabbage decreases in volume and becomes softer.

Add garlic, tomato paste, all spices, herbs and ribs. Mix it up.

Add more water if desired and simmer everything until cooked for 30-40 minutes on low heat.
