Experienced chefs recommend cooking pilaf from long-grain rice. In fact, it really turns out to be the tastiest. But, unfortunately, it is not always at hand. In such cases, a slow cooker helps out. Pilaf always turns out to be perfect in it.

Ingredients

  • Beef (fillet) – 400 g
  • Fig - 250 g
  • Onion - 1 piece
  • Carrots - 1 piece
  • Vegetable oil - 2 art.l.
  • Barberry - 1 tsp.
  • Bay leaf - 2 pieces
  • Zira - 0,5 tsp.
  • Ground black pepper - to taste
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water (boiling water) – 800 ml

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the beef, dry thoroughly and cut into small pieces.

Peel and slice the onion. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

Activate the "Frying" program, pour in the oil and fry the onion and carrot until golden brown.

Add beef, bay leaf, barberry, cumin and ground pepper. Cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring with a wooden spatula.

Pour in the washed rice, pour in hot water, add salt and close the lid. Cook for 40 minutes on the "Stewing" or "Pilaf" mode. After the beep, do not open the slow cooker for another 15 minutes.
