Such puffs could even be called a small homemade pizza. And all because of the filling with tomatoes, basil and mozzarella. Distinct Italian notes adorn even such a simple everyday snack.
Ingredients
- Puff pastry - 300 g
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Basil - 0.5 beam
- Mozzarella - 100 g
- Italian herbs - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Roll out the dough into one rectangular layer and put the circles of tomatoes on top. Instead of tomatoes, you can take a thick tomato sauce.
Put chopped basil and most of the grated mozzarella on them. Add garlic if desired.
Roll up a tight roll and send it to the freezer for a couple of minutes.
Cut the roll into small snails with a sharp knife and put it on parchment.
Sprinkle them with Italian herbs and the remaining grated mozzarella, and bake for 20 minutes at 200 degrees.
