No matter how much we experiment with recipes, from time to time I want to return to the classic version. I suggest cooking with fresh yeast, but if you have dry ones, add about 5-7 grams. Donuts turn out very soft and delicious!
Ingredients
- Flour - 3 glasses
- Chicken eggs - 1 piece
- Fresh yeast - 20 g
- Sour cream - 2 tbsp.l .
- Baking powder - 0,5 tsp.
- Vanilla sugar - at the tip of the knife
- Sugar - 2 art.l.
- Salt - at the tip of the knife
- Water (warm) – 150 ml
- Butter - 20 g
- Vegetable oil - 400 ml
- Sugar - 200 g
- Water - 100 ml
- Lemon juice - 2 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
In a deep bowl, mix warm water, yeast, sugar, a couple of spoonfuls of flour and remove to a warm place for 15 minutes.
Add egg, melted butter, sour cream, salt and vanilla sugar.
Pour in the sifted flour, baking powder and knead the dough. Cover with a towel and put in a warm place for 1 hour.
Knead the dough slightly and roll out into a cake 2-3 centimeters thick.
Squeeze out the donuts with a special mold and leave to rise for 10-15 minutes.
Fry the donuts in hot oil until golden brown and place on a paper towel.
In a deep saucepan, mix sugar and water, cook for 10-12 minutes on low heat, stirring constantly.
Pour in the lemon juice and remove from the stove after a minute.
Cool the finished donuts and pour icing sugar over them.
