Not only closed khachapuri can be made with any filling. The same applies to the Adjarian "boats". For example, I really like the option with juicy tomatoes and fragrant mushrooms. And then I'll tell you more about it!
Ingredients
For the test:
- Water - 0.5 glasses
- Milk - 50 ml
- Dry yeast - 1 pinch
- Salt - 1 pinch
- Sugar - 1 pinch
- Chicken eggs - 1 piece
- Flour - 1.5-2 glasses
- Vegetable oil - 1 art.l.
For filling:
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Greenery - 6 twigs
- Mushrooms - 150 g
- Chicken eggs - 1 piece
- Cheese - 100 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Mix all the dry ingredients and mix the liquid separately.
Combine both masses, knead the elastic dough and leave it warm for an hour.
Chop the mushrooms and fry until golden. Add the chopped and peeled tomatoes, and fry for a couple more minutes.
When the filling cools down, mix it with egg, chopped herbs and grated cheese.
Divide the dough into pieces, roll out into layers and form boats.
Put the filling in each boat and send it to the oven at 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
