Jam from cones is an amazing curiosity that is often found in the mountains and in the northern regions. But in fact, everyone can cook it. Of course, the technology is slightly different from the usual berry jam, but it is quite affordable.

Ingredients

  • Sugar - 800 g
  • Water - 800 ml
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.l .

Step-by-step cooking recipe

This amount of ingredients is calculated for 500 g of green young pine cones.

Sort out the cones, rinse, fill with water and leave for 3 hours. Then rinse again. Fill the cones with water and add sugar.

Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes over medium heat. Then cover with a lid, wrap with a towel and leave to cool completely.

Heat the cones again, but do not bring them to a boil. Let it cool down again.

Bring to a boil for the third time, boil for 10 minutes, and cool again.

Bring the jam to a boil for the fourth and fifth time, turn off the stove, but leave the pan on it for half an hour without a lid. After each time, let the jam cool down again.

Bring the cones to a boil for the last time, pour in lemon juice and roll them into sterile jars.
