Green tomatoes in their pure form are a treat for an amateur. They are harsh and rather bland. But thanks to this, they have become an excellent basis for stuffing. If you follow the recipe clearly, not one tomato will fall apart!
Ingredients
- Green tomatoes - 800 g
- Garlic - 6 teeth
- Hot red pepper - 1 pod
- Parsley - 1 bundle
- Dill - 1 bundle
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Coriander - 1 tsp.
- Black Pepper (with peas) – 1 tsp.
- Hop-suneli - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 1 art.l.
- Sugar - 3 art.l.
- Vinegar (9%) – 100 ml
- Water - 1 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop all the herbs, garlic, chili pepper, and add the suneli hops there.
Spread the bay leaf, coriander and black pepper on the bottom of the jars. You can add a few whole leaves of greenery for beauty.
Wash the green tomatoes and make cross-shaped incisions on them, but do not cut through to the end.
Put the stuffing of herbs with garlic in each tomato, and then put them in jars.
Pour boiling water over the vegetables, leave for 10 minutes and drain.
Add a little more to this water, so that there is about 1 liter. Add sugar and salt to the same place.
Boil the marinade, pour vinegar into it, mix and pour tomatoes.
Put the jars in a saucepan with water and sterilize for 10 minutes, and then roll up.
