In billets, citric acid solves two main tasks at once. Firstly, it improves the safety of pickles or any other preservation. Secondly, it gives a pleasant sourness, which cannot be confused with anything.
Ingredients
- Cucumbers - 2 kg
- Garlic - 4 clove
- Cherry leaves - 8 pieces
- Dill - 2 umbrella
- A mixture of peppers with peas - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 2 tbsp.l.
- Sugar - 4 art.l.
- Water - 1.6 l
- Carnation - 6 buds
- Citric acid - 2 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Soak cucumbers in cold water for a couple of hours.
Place them tightly in clean, dry jars with garlic, leaves, dill and spices.
Pour boiling water and leave for 15 minutes under the lids.
Drain this water and add salt and sugar to it. Boil it again.
Add a spoonful of citric acid to the jars.
Pour boiling brine and roll cucumbers for the winter.
