My favorite vegetable preparations for the winter are salads. That's because it's a ready-made snack that can be served immediately to the table. It turns out to be more original than an ordinary plate with pickles. And it's also an endless space for culinary experiments. For example, such a cabbage salad with mushrooms.
Ingredients
- Cabbage - 1.5 kg
- Mushrooms - 500 g
- Onion - 300 g
- Carrots - 300 g
- Bell pepper - 300 g
- Vegetable oil - 120 ml
- Vinegar - 60 ml
- Salt - 1 art.l.
- Sugar - 1 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Finely chop the onion, grate the carrots and fry for 5-7 minutes in oil.
Add the chopped peppers and mushrooms, and fry for another 10-15 minutes.
Add the chopped cabbage and simmer for half an hour on low heat.
Add vinegar, salt, sugar and spices to taste. Simmer the salad for another 1 minute.
Roll it up in sterilized jars.
