By winter, my pantry is overflowing with various conservation. A third of the stocks are usually compotes. I cook them from different fruits, berries and constantly try new recipes. Recently I cooked black currant compote with orange. Try it and you!
Ingredients
- Black Currant - 500 g
- Orange (medium) – 3 pieces
- Sugar - 250 g
- Citric acid - at the tip of the knife
- Water (filtered) – 6 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the oranges with boiling water and cut them together with the peel.
Pick the black currant and rinse it under running water.
Put pieces of oranges and currants in sterilized jars.
Pour boiling water to the top, cover with lids and leave for 30 minutes.
Drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar and citric acid.
Boil for 3 minutes, pour into jars and roll up.
