Quince is often undeservedly forgotten, although it is as versatile a fruit as apples. And perhaps even more versatile. Sauces are made from it, meat and poultry are baked with it, and added to stews. And today we will prepare a great thick jam for the winter.
Ingredients
- Quince - 1 kg
- Water - 100 ml
- Sugar - 400 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the quince, cut into cubes, add water and boil for 20 minutes on low heat.
Add sugar, bring to a boil again and cook the jam, stirring, for another half hour.
Roll the blank into sterile jars.
