There are different ways to cook thick jam. And it's not always necessary to boil it for hours for this. You can use small culinary tricks, for example, add agar–agar to it. Significant time and effort savings!

Remove the seeds from the apricots, cover the halves with sugar and leave for a couple of hours.

Boil the apricots for about 10 minutes under the lid and chop with a blender.

Fill the agar with water.

Boil the apricot puree and cook for another 20 minutes, stirring.

Pour in the agar and boil for another 5 minutes.

Roll up the jam in sterile jars.
