No matter how many outlandish combinations are invented, the classics also always remain relevant. If we are talking about canned compotes, then Antonovka compote is just such a classic. I will share with you my favorite family recipe, which has never failed for many years.

Ingredients

  • Apples (antonovka) – 600 g
  • Sugar - 240 g
  • Citric acid - 1 tsp.
  • Water - 2.5 l

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the apples and put them in a clean, dry jar.

Pour boiling water and leave for 20 minutes under the lid.

Drain this water and add sugar and lemon to it.

Bring it to a boil again and pour over the antonovka.

Roll up the compote for the winter.
