If you haven't tried adding apples to the classic tomato ketchup yet – you definitely need this recipe! It turns out even tastier and more interesting, with a slight fruity sourness. And for piquancy, add a little garlic to it.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 1 kg
- Apples - 200 g
- Garlic - 1 head
- Onion - 1 piece
- Hot red pepper - 1 piece
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Sugar - 1.5 tbsp.l.
- Apple cider vinegar - 1 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Randomly chop all the vegetables and apples, and simmer together for half an hour.
Grind the mass with a blender and grind through a sieve.
Add chopped garlic, salt and sugar.
Boil the ketchup for another 20-30 minutes until thick.
Pour in the vinegar and roll it into sterilized jars.
