Everyone is used to sauces made of tomatoes, peppers or even berries. What about something more unexpected? Today I want to share with you a wonderful recipe for zucchini sauce. And at the same time I'll tell you how to cook it, just to roll it into jars for the winter.
Ingredients
- Zucchini - 1.5 kg
- Onion - 200 g
- Vegetable oil - 25 ml
- Tomato paste - 500 ml
- Salt - 1.5 art.l.
- Sugar - 125 g
- Spices and seasonings - 1 art.l.
- Vinegar - 40 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pass the onion and peeled zucchini through a meat grinder.
Add the oil, bring to a boil and cook for about an hour on low heat.
Add tomato, salt, sugar and spices, and simmer the sauce for another half hour.
Beat it with a blender if desired.
Pour in the vinegar, boil for a couple more minutes and pour the sauce into sterilized jars.
