If you have bananas in your kitchen that are unlikely to be eaten already, prepare an unusual treat with caramel flavor and citrus notes from them. Today we will cook banana jam. Children (and adults too!) they will be delighted with such a treat!
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Rinse the orange well, cut off the skin. Cut the cut skin into small cubes.
Pour sugar into a cooking bowl, pour in water, add the sliced orange peel and mix everything well. Bring to a boil over low heat and, stirring, boil until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Peel the bananas and cut them into circles. Crush with a pusher until mashed.
Add banana puree to sugar syrup, bring to a boil and boil for 45 minutes, stirring constantly and removing the resulting foam. The jam should change color from light yellow to caramel brown.
Remove the jam bowl from the heat and cool completely. Put the cooled banana jam in pre-sterilized jars and seal tightly. Store the workpiece in a cool, dark place.
