Love this recipe. In my opinion, tomatoes with basil are the perfect combination of flavors and aromas. So that the vegetables do not burst under the influence of boiling water, do not be lazy to pierce each tomato with a needle in several places.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 2 kg
- Basil - 20 g
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp.
- Vinegar - 80 ml
- Sugar - 60 g
- Salt - 60 g
- Water (filtered) – 1,8 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Prepare tomatoes, rinse and pierce with a needle.
Put mustard seeds, crushed garlic, basil sprigs and tomatoes in jars.
Pour boiling water to the top, cover with lids and leave for 20 minutes.
Drain the water into a saucepan, mix with sugar, salt and bring to a boil again.
Add vinegar, remove from heat and pour into jars.
Roll up tomatoes with basil, turn the jars upside down and wrap them well for a day.
