You may be surprised, but you can cook a hodgepodge without tomato dressing. It turns out beautiful, transparent and very tasty. The lack of acid is perfectly compensated by cucumbers. According to the recipe, they should be added a little more than usual!
Ingredients
- Boiled sausage - 350 g
- Potatoes - 300 g
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Olives - 100 g
- Cucumbers - 3 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Lemon - 2 circle
- Vegetable oil - 40 ml
- Allspice - 2 peas
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Meat broth - 1,5 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop the sausage, onion, olives, potatoes, cucumbers and lemon. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
Heat oil in a frying pan, add onions and carrots and fry until golden brown.
Add sausage, lemon, 200 ml of broth and allspice peas ground in a mortar. Simmer for 7 minutes.
Boil the broth in a saucepan, add the roast, potatoes, olives and cucumbers. Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat.
Add salt and ground black pepper. Boil the hodgepodge for another 3 minutes and turn it off.
