Meat and fish are often cooked on winter holidays. Dogwood sauce is very suitable for them. Prepare it in the season of fresh berries and roll it into jars for the winter. If you come across an unripe or just sour dogwood, add more sugar.

Ingredients

  • Dogwood - 500 g
  • Garlic - 3 clove
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.l .
  • Ground coriander - 0,5 tsp.
  • Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
  • Sugar - 100 g
  • Salt - 1 tsp.
  • Water - 200 ml

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Fill the dogwood with water, boil for 15 minutes and put it in a colander.

Peel the berries from the seeds and grind in a blender.

Add water, spices, sugar and salt. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Pour in the oil, add the garlic passed through the press and simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

Put the hot sauce in the prepared container and roll it up.
