Blackberries are good not only for jam or jam, but also for sweet thick syrup. How to properly prepare it from such a difficult berry – I will tell you further in the recipe. And to balance the flavors, I suggest adding a little lemon.

Sort out the blackberries and send them to the freezer for a couple of days.

Boil the syrup from water and sugar.

Put the frozen berries in it, bring it to a boil again and cook for half an hour.

Let the syrup cool to room temperature and cook for another hour on low heat.

Leave the syrup overnight. You can add mint before that.

Add lemon juice, stir, boil the syrup for another 15 minutes, strain and pour into sterilized jars.
