To make canned tomatoes sparkle with new colors, it is enough to add something new and interesting to the jar. For example, a couple of handfuls of mountain ash. It will give its sourness and light astringency, which are so good in vegetable preparation.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 1.5 kg
- Mountain Ash - 2-3 handfuls
- Cherry leaves - 2 pieces
- Currant leaves - 2 pieces
- Parsley - 4 twigs
- Garlic - 4 teeth
- Mustard Seeds - 2 tsp.
- Sugar - 3 tbsp.l.
- Vinegar - 3 art.l.
- Salt - 1 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pour boiling water over the rowan for a couple of minutes and put it in a colander.
Put rowan, tomatoes, leaves, parsley, garlic and mustard seeds in sterile jars.
Pour boiling water and leave for 20 minutes under the lids.
Drain this water, add sugar, salt and vinegar, boil again and pour back in.
Roll up the tomatoes for the winter.
