I advise fans of canned soups to prepare a pickle with green tomatoes for the winter. All the necessary ingredients can be purchased at the nearest market. If you want to make the pickle thicker, add a little pearl barley or rice.
Ingredients
- Green tomatoes - 500 g
- Pickled cucumbers - 500 g
- Potatoes - 300 g
- Onion (medium) – 2 pieces
- Vinegar - 2 art.l.
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.l.
- Allspice - 4 peas
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Salt - 40 g
- Water - 2,5 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop tomatoes, cucumbers, peeled potatoes and onions.
Fry the onion in oil until golden brown.
Add green tomatoes, cucumbers and cook for 10 minutes.
Add spices and potatoes to boiling water. Boil everything together for 10 minutes.
Add the roast, salt and cook for another 10 minutes.
Add vinegar, pour the pickle into sterilized jars and roll up.
