I love black gooseberries for the bright, rich color that it gives to drinks. And, of course, it's also very tasty. This time I want to share a proven recipe for compote from it. In winter, it can be drunk cold or warmed up with spices.
Ingredients
- Gooseberry (black) – 500 g
- Cinnamon - 2 sticks
- Sugar - 300 g
- Water - 2 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Put the gooseberries and cinnamon in clean, dry jars.
Pour boiling water and leave under the lid for 15 minutes.
Drain this water, add sugar to it and boil it again.
Pour in the gooseberries and roll up the compote for the winter.
