I advise you to always store puff pastry in the freezer. You can make delicious croissants from it. Defrost the dough at room temperature, but in case of haste, use a microwave oven. I suggest cooking with honey and nuts.
Ingredients
- Puff pastry - 500 g
- Honey (liquid) – 60 g
- Walnuts - half a glass
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Defrost puff pastry at room temperature or in the microwave in the appropriate mode.
Dry the walnuts in a frying pan for a couple of minutes.
Cool and lightly chop in a blender.
Roll out the dough to the desired thickness and cut into identical triangles.
Lubricate the blanks with a thin layer of honey along the entire length. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
Carefully roll up the loose rolls and place them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
Lubricate the croissants with a mixture of milk and egg yolk.
Bake for 10 minutes at 210 degrees, then another 10 minutes at 180 degrees.
